Retford Equine Veterinary Clinic was established by Peter Light in the 1970s and was based at the "Old Dairy" at the historic Retford Park which was owned by James Fairfax. The practice was and still is dedicated to horses with a special interest in reproduction. It was bought by Karim Kooros in 2000 when he returned to Australia from Brunei with his young family and the practice has expanded since then.

We offer general surgeries such as castrations, hernia repair, periosteal strips and other general surgeries. Most surgeries can be done at your premises. We offer diagnostic evaluation of lameness and injuries using portable digital radiography or ultrasonography. Reproductive scans can be performed on site or at the clinic.

We have safe and secure veterinary facilities located just five minutes from the township of Bowral on the well-established property "Keiron Park". Our veterinary facilities include a veterinary lab on site to process and analyse both chilled and frozen semen, to perform laboratory tests including faecal egg counts, semen mobility checks, full blood work and bacteriology tests.

If your horse needs to stay with us, you can be assured that they will receive top care. We are situated at stunning "Keiron Park" in Bowral. We offer safe, spacious stays for veterinary procedures as well as for long and short term spelling. Short term spelling is available for holidays and short breaks.
