At Dapto Veterinary Clinic, we've been fostering these relationships for more than four decades. We are very proud of the fact we have multi-generational clients and that we stay true to our core values of experience and excellence in veterinary care. The health of your pet is our first and most important priority!
Originally established in the 1970's, Dapto Vet was initially located in Dapto Court. In 1985 the clinic moved to its current location at 164 Princes Highway Dapto, opposite the Ribbonwood Centre (access to the car park via Marshall St entry). We are an independent, local family-owned, no BS Veterinary Clinic.

Dr Jairo Rivera Posada

Arguably one of the most academically qualified Veterinarians available in the Wollongong and wider Illawarra region today, Jairo has two (yes that is not a typo, he really has two) PhD's. He even patented a synthetic bone graft during his first PhD in Animal Medicine & Surgery. Jairo has had an interesting career that has taken him across the world from Columbia to Europe to the United States to our awesome Great Barrier Reef.
After Hours
Report
Dapto Veterinary Clinic has an after hours emergency service for all pets of the Illawarra. In order to ensure you receive the best quality veterinary care with the best health outcomes possible, we have partnered with ARH Wollongong (Animal Referral Hospital).
This enables us to provide a 24-7 service to cater for after hours emergencies, without affecting the quality of care provided on a day-day basis (our Vets and Nurses need their sleep to ensure we can continue to deliver the highest level of care!).ARH provides your Dapto Vet Clinic veterinarian with an after hours history report in the event this service needs to be used.

We are in the blue building found opposite the Ribbonwood Centre, just south of the Shell Garage and next-door to Jett's gym. Entry to our premises is from Marshall Street, just north of the McCabe Street roundabout. Just look for the 'VET' sign on the rear of our carpark. Drive on in where you will find adequate parking and an easy walk to the front of our clinic.
