Queensland Veterinary Specialists
Emergency and Critical care in the form of Pet Emergency is offered 24 hours a day 7 days a week and 365 days a year in our brisbane hospitals. Pet Emergency is a separate business that operates out of QVS facilities after hours. Pet Emergency provides after hours care and monitoring for the patients receiving treatment at QVS.

All veterinarians at QVS have received the highest levels of training and continue to undertake further education on a regular basis. Being animal lovers, and animal owners themselves, our veterinarians understand the emotions owners go through when their pet is receiving specialised veterinary care.
Services
On arrival to our centre, you will be greeted by our receptionists and emergency nursing staff. Your pet's condition will be assessed on presentation before receiving a consultation with one of our emergency veterinarians. Your pet's health and wellbeing is our priority. If your pet is critically ill on presentation, we will immediately transfer them to our treatment area to commence emergency care and stabilisation of their condition.
Referrals are accepted for oncology cases through our internal medicine and surgery services which are available Monday to Friday. We also provide 24/7 after-hours support for all our oncology clients and pets. We provide a comprehensive and compassionate service in all aspects of cancer. The client should bring with them the patient's medical history, radiographs and pathology or lab results.
Queensland veterinary specialists in Brisbane, provide emergency and routine specialised surgery using the latest equipment and techniques. Surgeons at QVS provide a range of soft tissue, oncologic and orthopaedic procedures, working closely with other specialists to ensure we provide the best patient care.
Queensland Veterinary Specialists' surgeons were among the first veterinary surgeons to perform minimally invasive surgery in Australia. Be assured, that your pet is receiving the best care from specialist surgeons using advanced technologies including Force Triad Ligasure, Harmonic Scalpel and Stryker and Olympus stacks.
An inexpensive, no-consultation ultrasound service is offered for cases that don't need a full referral. It is the nature of reproduction that the patients dictate when the work needs to be done. So the reproduction service is open for consultation at all times. For routine appointments, consultation is on weekdays from 7am.

Omg these guys are amazing the place is extremely clean, staff are super friendly and Patient. Aside from the time I had to wait which is to be expected at an emergency vet clinic I am so happy I took my boy there for treatment. I am considering making these guys our regular clinic

Had strong concern for my 6 year old Australian bulldog at 3am Saturday morning . She had previously completed a course of antibiotics for a probable UTI , she again became symptomatic in the last 12hrs and woke me at 250am w high respirations and what appeared to be again blood in her in her urine . I spoke w Rosie at this Vet and she was generous w her time and , regarding her symptoms post urinating, that she probably wasn't in an emergency and to see my local vet once opened .
I feel rather than chasing money Rosie had both my dogs' n my own interests at heart and therefore I was very pleased

Thank you Dr Jason Beck for your help with our dog Zac. When I left him in your care I had resigned myself to saying 'good bye' to him as I left as he was that ill. Really appreciate the 'extra mile' you went to, to identify treatment options as now Zac is back to his 'old self' as though he had never been ill. An amazing recovery. A job very well done. Thank you. Ross

Our dog died as a result of the negligent and incorrect care he received from this clinic. On communications with the manager of the business we were provided with false reports of investigations/treatment and when I requested to know the full qualifications of the vets that attended to him I was basically told to get stuffed. Reporting them to the Vet board as this place should not be operating the way it is. Unprofessional to say the least, and unskilled in their 'care'. They also had my previous review removed it seems because they know they stuffed up and are on the back foot.

Dr Tim & his team were amazing.
We had to travel from Bundaberg, they were super accommodating and scheduled everything for the one day even though they could not confirm a diagnosis until we had arrived.
After surgery we were given detailed photos and a summary of the procedure, recommendations for post op care and details of medications.

Amazing staff, who took care of my ginger boy beautifully. All staff are so respectful and the prompt care given to my cat was very much appreciated by his teary 'mum'! I chose to wait in the clinic and all the staff were so consistently kind to the constant traffic of pet owners and their pets. Martin has recovered so we'll due to your wonderful care including the post op advice provided to continue at home. Thank you so much to all of you.

We were very blessed by the kindness & caring of the great Vet & Staff at the Clinic. We were given dignity, respect & kindness at a highly emotional time with our beloved pet. I would recommend them & their care to everyone. God bless you all as you do your work. Best wishes Judy & Ross.
