Clayfield Veterinary Clinic
The Clayfield Veterinary Clinic has been in operation in it's current location in Brisbane's inner North since 1965. Our Veterinary staff have a combined working experience of over 120 years in small animal general practice, enabling us to offer sound and sensible advice. We also pride ourselves on the fact that, if your pet is sick or injured, you will never be turned away.

If you are concerned about your pet, we will make time to see you no matter how heavily placed for bookings we might be. Our team of 5 vets include Calum and Joanne Robertson who graduated together from the University of Queensland in 1986. We are situated easily accessible to Eagle Junction, Hendra, Clayfield, Ascot, Hamilton and any of the inner Northern suburbs.
Services
Our Staff
Report
He returned to Brisbane in 1991, where he managed first the Goodna Veterinary Clinic, and then in 1994 the Moorooka Veterinary Clinic. In 2001, he and Joanne bought the Clayfield Veterinary Clinic. He enjoys the great variety of pets and people that a general vet practice provides. In particular, he enjoys helping our senior pets live longer and happier lives, and also enjoys the challenges of knee surgery in dogs and dentistry.
PetPEP
Report
AVA PetPEP is an education program developed by the Australian Veterinary Association. It involves veterinarians and teachers working together to teach primary school students about responsible pet ownership and to enhance their overall understanding of animals. Clayfield Veterinary Clinic is an enthusiastic supporter of the program with Joanne regularly visiting local (and not so local!) schools.
Cat Boarding
Report
Our Cat Condos are unique in their look, structure and function to any other cat enclosure on the market today. The integrated ventilation system, with each condo being ventilated continuously, means that the risk of transmission of any airborne diseases like cat flu is significantly reduced. WIth hospital grade melamine, the condos are moisture and bacteria free and easy to clean.
Senior Pet Care
Report
Many age related conditions can be cured or managed, with early detection and intervention giving the best results. We consider any pet over the age of 10 to be a senior pet. Large breeds of dogs, like our own Ella, age more rapidly and would be considered senior from 7-8 years of age. It is our recommendation that senior pets be examined every 6 months.
Weight Management
Report
Just as in people, overweight pets are predisposed to a number of conditions including arthritis, diabetes, skin disease, respiratory disease and cardiac disease. Talking to you about the way your pet is currently fed in terms of amounts, type of food and timing of feeds and about the amount of exercise your pet does.
