In 2019, Wilston vet was chosen as "Three of the Best" Vets in Brisbane by and independent organisation. The doors of Wilston Vet opened in 2003, and our wish was to provide the local inner north Brisbane community with a warm, caring and friendly veterinary practice. We hope that you come and visit us with your pets to experience our service and join our extended family.
Wilston Vet provides all veterinary services as well as grooming, boarding and dog training. We also have a luxurious cattery on site. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Services
At Wilston Vet you can be assured that your pet is receiving the highest quality of medical and surgical veterinary care. We can provide all routine dog and cat surgery such as de-sexing (spey, castration, neutering) and wound suturing as well as complex surgeries such as bowel and bone surgery.
We have a separate surgical theatre where we perform sterile surgeries and a "wet-procedures" room where we perform dental procedures and non sterile surgery such as draining a cat-bite abscess.Any patient who requires specialist surgical care can be referred to our nearby referral centre at Stafford Heights (QVS) or Brisbane Veterinary Specialists at Albany Creek (BVSC).

Here at Wilston Vet we strive to offer our patients, your pets, the highest quality of veterinary care available whilst treating them with the compassion and respect they deserve. Your furry friend will benefit from our state of the art equipment as well as enjoy the quality care from a team of highly trained professionals.
At Wilston Vet we don't like our clients having to wait around to be seen so we have a high staff to client ratio in order to swiftly attend to your needs. Even though we are a small clinic, we have a practice manager, two full time veterinarians, three part time veterinarians, five veterinary nurses, a receptionist, cattery staff and a professional groomer which enables us to look after you and your pet the way you should be looked after.
This is a principle which we aspire to at Wilston Vet. We believe in supporting the local community that supports us, as well as supporting those communities further abroad who are less fortunate than ourselves. As a small business we aim to be profitable not only to provide our staff and their families with income, but also to use our profits to help other people and animals.

The vet is professional and provides a good quality service. The cost is a little bit inflated but I think you get what you pay for. The vets I’ve come across seem very passionate and committed and really can’t be faulted. The support and front end staff are friendly and provide a genuine and caring service. The pet groomer however is honestly one of the worst I’ve come across. They completely shaved my dog without discussing before hand or calling to let me know which was disappointing and distressing and then were completely dismissive when I politely raised concerns about this after the

Dr Kate is a lovely and empathetic vet with great bedside manner! We transferred our beloved dog’s care to Wilston from another local vet a few years ago and are so happy with our decision. A vet’s job is super hard and stressful but Kate always treats us with care and takes time to explain all procedures, no matter how small. Thank you, Kate!

We have loved taking our two pugs to Wilston vet over the years. Having recently moved away from Brisbane, it's been hard to find another vet that compares to Dr Karen and all of the wonderful vet nurses at Wilston Vet. Nachos and Margo have always loved coming and always recieved the best level of care and attention. Thanks for always going above and beyond.

A lovely vet with a friendly and enthusiastic small team. Perennially, and understandably, busy, verging on chaos at times, but always got the job done. Our two cats have stayed at the cattery many times, and always seemed reluctant to return home, despite the reasonable prices.
One of our cats became unwell this year and saw the vet here several times. We paid about $1000 for him to have a check-up, x-rays and blood tests which did not yield a diagnosis. The vet suggested a specialist opinion, which we (impoverished by the tests so far) declined. He was prescribed fluoxetine for cat fibromyalgia

I have been taking my pets to Wilston Vet now for over ten years. They are always so compassionate and caring. I had to have one of my pets put down and they were so kind. They really do care for the animals as well as the people! I would highly recommend them to any pet owner.

I’ve been taking my old girl Tori to Wilston Vet for around 4 years. I had tried other vets a bit closer to home when I lived an hour away from Wilston Vets but couldn’t find a clinic that came to close so I’ve continued to make the travel no matter the distance. Wilston vets reception always welcome us by name and the vets are very thorough and friendly.

Our cat Benson was notorious for being difficult to handle over his 15 years of visiting Wilston Vet. Despite scratching, growling and biting quite a few vets and nurses, he was always shown great care, love… and attention and there have been many, many stories told about him and his cantankerous ways. The number of ‘be wary’ exclamation marks on his file was a testament to his nature! But at home he was an absolutely adorable sook. This week, we have sadly had to say goodbye to our beloved Benny and we’re so grateful to Dr Karen and Donna who ensured he was comfortable

My 💃 girlfriend Marilyn Clarke has been a loyal customer of the Wilston Vet & had previously taken her 3 dogs until the eldest had to be put to sleep because of her back that was giving her real trouble! She is having one vaccinated & the youngest is having her nails cut! Very friendly and helpful staff!

Wilston Vet what can I say, absolutely amazing place with caring compassionate staff and always very professional. You can always tell a fantastic practice by the way your animals are treated and the staff genuinely love their jobs. This shows every time I’ve been there. Well done to management being able to cultivate such a strong happy team it’s not something that’s always easy to achieve. I always feel happy and confident when our dogs are in your care! Well done keep up the good work!
