About Us
Report
Our passion is to provide the best care for pets in our local community. We are a family run small animal practice whose focus is on our clients, their pets, and their pockets. Unlike the growing number of 'corporate' veterinary organisations, we do not push up-selling of unnecessary extras. Up to 30 minute consultations when needed which allows us to assess multiple problems and give you and your pet the time that you deserve.

Puppy Care
Report
Congratulations on your new family addition! We know how much information there is to learn when first getting a puppy, so here are some of the basics to get you started. There are other vaccinations that are important such as Leptospira especially in tropical areas or other high risk areas.

A puppy should receive 3 vaccinations, the first at 6-8 weeks of age, the second at 10-14 weeks of age and the third at 16-18 weeks (It is very important the last vaccination is given at or after 14 weeks of age).To remain fully covered they will need repeated vaccines every year and/or 3 years, or have annual titre testing.
Kitten Care
Report
Congratulations on your new family addition! We know how much information there is to know when first getting a kitten, so here are some of the basics to get you started. We routinely vaccinate kittens against 3 viral diseases- Feline Enteritis, Rhinotracheitis and Calici Virus. Kittens should get vaccinations at 6-8 weeks, 12-14 weeks and 16-18 weeks of age and then yearly.
Desexing
Report
Desexing will help control many problems such as roaming, aggression, inappropriate mounting and territorial urine marking as well as mammary, prostate and testicular tumours. There is now some debate about the benefit of your female dog having a season or a litter first before desexing.

There are some advantages to letting the dog approach maturity before desexing, especially in larger breed dogs, but getting her desexed before her first or second season drastically reduces the chances of her getting mammary tumours later in life.Desexing will help control many problems such as spraying, wandering, behaviour problems and mammary, and testicular tumours.
