NS Swim School is owned and operated by Gold Licence Olympic Coach Narelle Simpson. We are based in Brookvale on Sydney's Northern Beaches offering learn to swim and squad lessons for all ages and abilities from beginner to Olympian. Junior and Senior Squads are held in hired lanes at the Manly Andrew Boy Charlton Aquatic Centre.
Very friendly staff on reception and in the pool. Special mention to Deb for making my daughter so comfortable and helping her pick up technique! Excellent swim instructors - my son has made such amazing progress in a short amount of time. Small class sizes and dedicated instructors. My son started swimming with NS Swim aged 10 and now aged 16 he loves swimming and is so grateful for the lessons and squad training.

Our swim instructors and squad coaches are all qualified and receive ongoing training including yearly CPR courses, workshops, upskilling, coach and instructor evaluations. All employees hold a current Working with Children Check.
We are proud to have male and female swim instructors of all ages including Northern Beaches parents and university students, many who learned to swim at NS Swim School themselves and continue to attend squads, compete in swim races and enjoy swimming for fitness and leisure.Some of the NS Team have been with Narelle since the conception of the school over 24 years ago.

Brookvale Lessons

All learn-to-swim lessons are held in our heated three lane 18 metre pool from Monday through to Saturday at 9B Green Street, Brookvale. We have a flexible pool layout to accommodate the different needs of the instructor and students. The pool is overlooked by a small poolside seated area and a comfortable viewing deck on the first floor for parents/caregivers.

Step 2 - Do NOT look at any other YouTube videos presented on the side as I have spent days watching them and most give incorrect technique advise so please don't watch them unless I have sent them to you.
Parent and Child Skills

Take your little one under the shower and play a game of Ready Go. Say "Ready Go" and move you and your baby under the shower letting the water pour over their head. If this is too much for them, get a cup and play Ready Go in the bath. Say "Ready Go" and pour the water over their shoulders and back of their head, eventually over their whole head.

Our Junior and Senior Swim Squads are held in hired lanes in the outdoor heated pools at the Manly Andrew Boy Charlton Aquatic Centre. Our squads cater to all water sports, pool, open water, surf, triathlon, personal fitness and competition for all ages including Masters and special needs multi-class competition.
