The Hanging Rock Winery was established in 1983 and is located in the Macedon Ranges Wine Region (Australia's coolest grape growing region), just an easy one hour drive from Melbourne. The property (known as 'Jim Jim') was purchased by John and Ann Ellis in 1982 as a bare block. Ranges they have always had a love and affiliation with Heathcote as a Shiraz growing region.
