Pilates, named after Joseph Pilates, who founded the exercise method, is a low-impact workout that aims to lengthen, strengthen and encourage correct alignment throughout the body. Working with the breath, Pilates involves controlled movements and core activation (don't worry, we'll teach you how) and will see you gain strength to perform daily activities better, stronger and with less injury as a result.
Unlike other workouts, Pilates focuses on the deeper muscle groups, which not only support the outer muscles, but also support the spine. For those who suffer from general soreness, weakness or simply want to improve muscle tone and feel more capable - Pilates is a fantastic option. You can start at a beginner level and slowly progress.

Within our classes, you will learn more about your body, alignment and how each exercise works to strengthen and lengthen different areas. Our instructors are all qualified professionals who focus on form and assist all clients not only during class, but before and after as well. Through technical adjustments and educational classes (which are still fun, we promise!) you will walk out of Inner Balance with exactly that!
