Luxury Accommodation in the Heart of the Otways
We established Forrest River Valley B & B after over four decades of living in the Otways region. Our journey began when we transitioned from city life to managing a dairy farm in rural Forrest, gradually immersing ourselves in the local community and natural environment. Recognising the unique appeal of our location adjacent to the Great Otway National Park, we designed and built two self-contained studio accommodations to share our tranquil surroundings with visitors. Our focus remains on providing privacy and comfort, offering guests a generous continental breakfast sourced from local producers.We curate experiences that allow visitors to explore the Otways' natural beauty, from mountain biking trails to wildlife encounters and coastal attractions. With our intimate knowledge of the region, we guide guests toward hidden gems and local activities that showcase the area's biodiversity and cultural heritage. Our commitment to maintaining a peaceful retreat ensures visitors can fully disconnect from daily life and reconnect with nature.

Our two contemporary studio units offer couples a secluded escape with floor-to-ceiling windows framing valley vistas. Each features queen-size bedding, kitchenette facilities, and private decks for enjoying the natural surroundings. The Magpie Suite includes premium amenities while the Blue Wren Studio provides self-catering convenience.
Otway National Park Access
Direct access to Great Otway National Park walking trails and mountain biking routes from our property. Guests can explore ancient rainforests, discover waterfalls, and observe native wildlife including platypuses on Lake Elizabeth tours. The Tiger Rail Trail connects to local cycling networks.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful place. Super lovely host, amazing breakfast and a starry sky that beautiful we have never seen before. Highly recommended!

Great spot. But if you plan on arriving late eat before you get here as there are no places open to eat after 8pm. Saw many wild kangaroos along the way

Beautiful view of the countryside from the room, satisfying and generous breakfast and very spacious and clean room. Nice place to stay for a quiet weekend away.
