
Pilates is a mind-body exercise system that was developed in the 1920s by Joseph Pilates and is now practised worldwide by over 11 million practitioners. Its methodology focuses on core stabilisation and postural alignment to improve balance, strength, flexibility and general physical health.
The system utilises matwork and a variety of studio apparatus to achieve these aims, and is appropriate for people of all ages, fitness levels, and body types.In the words of Joseph Pilates, the system "develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit".

Irina is a fully qualified Pilates instructor and registered member of PAA (Pilates Alliance Australasia). She holds a Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction from the government accredited PilatesITC (International Training Centre) the premier Pilates instructional body in the Australasian region.

The Initial Consultation is required for all new clients who wish to do studio classes regardless of previous Pilates experience. Initial Consultation is not required for new clients who want to do Matwork classes only. Note, all new clients must undergo an Initial Consultation prior to participating in classes.
