Having chanced upon Wendy and Glenn's Sweetwater Lodge it did not disappoint in any respect. The well appointed lodge, together with the extensive and beautiful property make for an excellent venue or those seeking a little luxury combined with great wildlife viewing opportunity; the platypus pool being the highlight for us.

Our two luxury retreats are perched on a hill in an open setting overlooking the rainforest and creek beyond, and surrounded by the awe-inspiring Mt Lewis mountain range in Julatten, at the northern tip of the Atherton Tablelands, and adjoinging the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics.
The spacious cottages, each accommodating 2 people and ideal for couples, are situated 50m apart and surrounded by a cooling tropical garden, adding to nature's charms and your sense of well-being.The private accommodation is very well appointed with modern conveniences and fitted throughout with custom-made Australian style furniture, built from North Queensland timbers.

Sweetwater Lodge is situated in Julatten at the northern tip of the Atherton Tablelands, Tropical North Queensland, 30 minutes from Port Douglas and one and a quarter hours from Cairns International Airport. Julatten is 1200 feet above sea level and is reputed to have one of the top ten climates in the world!
