McGinty's on Shields St serves pints of Kilkenny and Guinness with some live music most nights and provides serves Irish and Thai meals. The Crown Hotel on the corner of Shields and Grafton St is a traditional Queensland hotel with cold beer and good food. Cape York Hotel on the corner of Bunda and Spence Street has been recently refurbished and serves excellent meals and ice cold Great Northern draft beer.

Our luxury VIP tour vehicle can take up to 6 passengers in comfort. We can happily arrange airport drop offs for our visitors and also short and day trip tours of some of North Queensland region's best attractions. The scenery is spectacular with lots to see ranging from rainforest, lakes, waterfalls, mountains and tablelands rich with agriculture products that can be purchased from local outlets.

As well as providing accommodation for travellers, we also have 2 other properties for your longterm accommodation requirements. Grimshaw Haus is located at the rear of Ryans Rest and consists of 2x one bedroom apartments and 2x three bedroom apartments which can be used by long term guests.
194 Spence St consists of two very large 3 bedroom apartments available for long term use located on the Cairns southern cycleway close to the city near Barlow Park.
