Services
Consultations
Report
During our standard 20 minute consultation, your pet will be weighed and given a complete clinical examination. We will address specific concerns that you have and together with you, formulate a treatment plan or make recommendations regarding further diagnostic testing. If further investigation of a problem is warranted, this will be discussed in detail.
Health Checks
Report
A standard Health Check includes a weight recording, temperature reading and a full examination of the mouth, ears and eyes. It also includes auscultation of the heart and lungs and palpation of the abdomen. Health Checks form a vital part of monitoring your pet's health, particularly as they age. Some conditions can occur slowly and silently and it is only upon a Health Check that some problems are discovered.
Vaccinations
Report
We recommend that your pets be fully covered against the common viral infections that can occur in the community. A full Health Check and a Vaccination Assessment is performed prior to any administration of a vaccine. We currently offer vaccinations annually and triennially, depending on your pet's requirements.
Microchipping
Report
A microchip is a small radio frequency emitting device, about the size of a grain of rice which is injected under your pet's skin; they are the most effective form of permanent identification for your pet. Each microchip has its own unique code which is registered on to a local council and national database, along with details of your animal and owner information such as name, address and phone number.
Dental advice and treatment
Report
We now know the importance of dental health in our pets and the effect of dental health on their general health. Your pets teeth will be checked at every consultation or health check visit and can also be checked by our nurses anytime in our free dental checks. We can then advise as to the best course of action.
