I checked the refrigerant levels and found that the unit has refrigerant. I looked at the remote controller and realised the unit is set to fan only mode, I changed the remote controller mode setting to cooling and the unit started blowing out cold air. Carried out a maintenance on the unit and everything was working fine. The unit didn't need to be replaced. It was the mode setting that needed to be changed for the unit to operate in cooling mode.
