Dr Himakshu Vyas was born in Nairobi, Kenya but moved to the UK at a very early age. In 1993, he obtained A Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences where he studied the molecular biology of mouth cancers. Dr. Himakshu obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree from the prestigious King's College School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1996.

The Reception staff are not very friendly or welcoming at all, not even a smile from them. They don't explain treatment costs and expect you to understand the dental terminology without explaining what procedures you are actually paying for. This has really put me off from returning but I did like Sonia, the Dentist, she was very helpful and friendly.

Let me start by saying I normally hate the dentist. I'd rather run an ultra-marathon or eat a bowl of coriander than have my teeth worked on. Maybe I'm biased after 7 years of army dentists where they butchered my mouth like a scene out of the movie Saw. That said, I attended the Townsville Dental Centre to get a crown and was simply wowed by the skill and professional friendliness that Anjana Waran and her assistant showed me. Anjana was the most gentle and caring dentist I've ever had and I really appreciated the efforts she went to explain to me the procedure. Despite a crown procedure usually

Big thanks to the team at Townsville Dental Centre - they relieved my pain on a Saturday night when i had just been to another dentist the day before for a course of really expensive treatment and their empathy and exceptional caring attitude toward me was something that I will never forget and I can't thank them enough

We were leaving Townsville early on a Sunday morning to drive home to Brisbane when we dropped in to dentist to seek help with a sudden painful issue with our daughter's brace. The staff were amazing. They attended to her immediately and got us on our way. She couldn't eat, had ulcers and was in tears with the pain so we were so appreciative for their help. They even phoned the next day to check all was well. So impressive and would be using them if we were locals!
