Your Local Community Hub for Bowling, Music & Events in Petersham
Established in 1896, Petersham Bowling Club has evolved from a traditional bowling venue to a vibrant community hub. Our journey began when the local community took ownership in 2006, removing poker machines in 2007 to prioritise social value over gambling. We pride ourselves on fostering inclusivity, offering diverse activities such as lawn bowls, live music, and family-friendly events. Our commitment to sustainability and community engagement has transformed us into a model for grassroots clubs nationwide. With a rich history and a forward-thinking approach, we provide a welcoming space for locals and visitors to connect, relax, and enjoy quality food, craft beer, and cultural experiences.

It's easy to overlook the dated interior because this welcoming family oriented club is so relaxing. Kiddies are welcome too. The staff are great and the dinning was popular with other patrons.

5 stars for the original decore in amongst the inner west trendiverse. What a warm, friendly, family club. The locals were having a great time late Saturday afternoon. Was there for a birthday and thoroughly had a blast. Simple food but tasty and value for money.

Quaint little club. Great atmosphere. Attended there for a concert. Meal from bistro was great, entertainment was excellent. Bar staff were exceptional and friendly.

Nice drinks selection, with some good local wines and beers. That's a plus. There is however, consistently poor service from the bar staff. It's easier to book than a lot of places for an event, so I guess that's a trade off.
