Dr Chau specialises in managing the mental health of athletes with particular expertise and focus on mood and anxiety disorders, adult ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder and addiction (including problem gambling).
Dr Chau understands that athletes are placed under enormous internal and external pressures which may increase the risk of mental health problems.                                                         In order to make an appointment with Dr Chau, your GP or club doctor will need to forward a written referral. After receiving the referral, the reception team will contact you to arrange an appointment. This is a good time to ask any questions you may have.
Dr Chau will ask you a series of questions to gain a better understanding of your mental health including your symptoms, current and past treatment, your medical history and any current medications, your family history as well as your developmental experiences.

If the referral is urgent or you would like to discuss the referral please call reception and asked to be put through to Dr Chau. Dr Chau's office is located at the end of the street on your left hand side just after the Volkswagen dealership.
