Every minute on any given day someone feels inadequate, argues with a loved one, walks out of a relationship, behaves aggressively, or feels like giving up. Different people strive for personal growth or manage life challenges in different ways.
Some people can read a self-help book on their own without any other therapy, while others will invest in psycho-educational workshops to provide the mental tune-up needed to motivate and empower them to act. However, for many others, one-on-one counselling provides the personalised help and support needed to make lasting change.

In late 2017 the Australian Government recognised the need for online psychology services with the expansion of the Better Access initiative to include telehealth psychology services (as outlined in the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS).A 12-month trial of online counselling (using Skype video conference) has convinced me that the quality of 'in-person' therapy can be achieved via the internet.
