About Osteopathy
Report
Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine that tries to restore a healthy relationship between structure and function. To explain this, lets consider the sympton of RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury), a symptom often reported by people that work with computers. RSI leads to less supply of oxygen and nutrients to your forearms.
Treatments
Report
Below are a sample list of issues that people may choose to see an Osteopath for. There are many others that we haven't included. There are also many people who come to see an Osteopath when they have exhausted the options offered by their GP - so never be afraid to ask your Osteopath about that niggling complaint that you have not quite been able to address!
Adults
Report
The adult body has developed its own rhythms and compensations for managing the stresses and strains of everyday living. Maybe you have an old injury that has caused you to favour a particular leg in the way you walk or your occupation requires you to hold a particular posture (such as sitting, bending or reaching) for long periods.
Back pain
Report
The spine is home to a nework of nerves, muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons that bear the strain of our body and send out messages of pain to the brain. Back pain can appear all along the spine from the neck area (cervical) to the upper back (thoracic) to the lower back (lumbar) to the tail bone area (pelvic).
