Services
Addiction Counselling
Our addiction counselling addresses alcohol, drug, and behavioural addictions through evidence-based interventions. Using motivational interviewing and relapse prevention strategies, we help clients understand triggers and develop coping mechanisms. Tailored programs incorporate family involvement when appropriate, supporting long-term recovery. Sessions focus on rebuilding self-esteem and establishing healthy routines.
Couples Therapy
Specialised couples therapy improves communication and resolves conflicts using Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method. We address infidelity, intimacy issues, and life transitions while fostering mutual understanding. Sessions create safe spaces for honest dialogue, rebuilding trust and strengthening emotional connections through structured exercises.
Trauma Recovery
Trauma-focused therapy utilises EMDR and trauma-informed CBT to process distressing experiences. We help clients manage flashbacks, anxiety, and hypervigilance while establishing grounding techniques. Treatment plans address complex trauma from abuse, accidents, or loss, promoting gradual emotional regulation and post-traumatic growth.
Anxiety Management
Our anxiety specialists employ CBT and mindfulness techniques to address panic disorders, phobias, and generalised anxiety. Clients learn cognitive restructuring to challenge negative thought patterns and develop practical relaxation strategies. Exposure therapy is used progressively for specific fears and social anxiety.
Family Counselling
Family systems therapy resolves intergenerational conflicts, parenting challenges, and post-divorce adjustments. We implement structural and strategic approaches to improve boundaries and communication. Sessions focus on rebuilding trust, addressing codependency patterns, and creating cohesive family dynamics through collaborative problem-solving.

Only rating 2 stars instead of 1 because the reception staff were really nice and came up to me, offered water etc whenever I came in. I have a strange feeling that this is one of those places that received a huge cash injection, and doesn't quite know nor care how to use it properly. The 'therapy' experience over my months there felt like it was some fake hollywood experience. I was suspicious of the amount of time that was spent trying to sell me on their concepts of therapy than actually providing them. Actions speak louder than words, and if you do your craft right, you don't need to sell

This is my first time seeking therapy so I do not have a frame of reference other than my actual experience here at CFHP. I waited till I had completed 5 sessions with Biyanka to write a review. I have really enjoyed all my sessions here and have already noticed a great improvement in self. Not starting off with any particular goals in mind, I just wanted to begin the journey and see where it took me.

Quite a few little breakthroughs, lessons learnt along the way, and much of it can be attributed to Biyanka's gentle guidance. She let me be myself and did not spoon-feed me therapy, instead she helped

I cannot recommend CFHP enough. I have been going here for a few months now and I am really starting to see some positive changes in my thinking and in my life. Kirsteen has helped me so much in such a short time. If you want practical advice not woo woo faffy stuff, I think she could really help you.

My experience was that the therapist did nothing to establish rapport and I felt a bit uncomfortable during the session. She also started giving advice as soon as I mentioned my first problem. I didn't feel like I got the chance to express myself. I actually felt very anxious and worried at the end of the session. To me she came across as aloof I don't feel like she really cared either way about my mental well being.

Initial experience was great (why I moved from 1 to 2 stars) as John is a great appointment coordinator . However, we saw an Educational Psychologist who interrupted and talked over me. Her approach was very directive, which is not what my son needs. After the appointment I asked for a Clinical Psychologist but they (mainly Ettienne) quite dismissive, lacking empathy about how - :"Nope sorry. We don't have anyone else who can see a 15 year old." He's really mature and there just didn't seem to be any entertaining of how can we explore and see if one of the clinicians can see him. I was really disappointed

Have been to a few places, can now say that there are way better options out there, would advise shopping around. One of the therapists here did something they weren't supposed to and I was pulled from their care before our first session. The next one repeatedly became emotionally over-reactive to everything said, made me feel super self conscious of saying anything because I knew I was going to get an emotionally explosive response each time. In general, all the therapists seemed to do more talking than listening, constantly focusing on issues already covered, and unwilling to provide any actual

I had a good experience. I'm from another country and struggle with English (my second language), I like that the Centre has Mandarin-speaking counsellors. The counsellor was very nice, make me comfortable. Help me feel better and gave my practical advice.
