Your Trusted Partner for Psychological Therapy in Perth
I founded this psychology practice to provide tailored therapeutic support for individuals navigating emotional and psychological challenges. With a focus on evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, and EMDR, I work collaboratively with clients to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship conflicts. My approach prioritises creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences to foster self-awareness and meaningful change.

Whether managing stress, ADHD, or interpersonal difficulties, I aim to empower clients to break cycles of unhelpful patterns and build resilience. Sessions are customised to individual needs, integrating past experiences with present challenges to promote growth and emotional well-being. My practice, now based in Perth, WA, serves both local and Australia-wide clients through in-person and telehealth consultations.

Services
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) helps clients identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. This structured approach addresses anxiety, depression, and stress by fostering practical coping strategies. Sessions focus on present challenges while building skills for long-term emotional resilience.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR Therapy processes traumatic memories to reduce their emotional impact. Using guided eye movements, it helps clients reframe distressing experiences, alleviating symptoms like flashbacks and hypervigilance. This modality is effective for trauma, grief, and PTSD recovery.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) combines mindfulness and emotional regulation techniques to manage intense emotions. It is particularly effective for clients with borderline personality traits, self-harm tendencies, or chronic stress. Skills training enhances interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance.
Interpersonal Therapy
Interpersonal Therapy addresses relationship conflicts and social difficulties contributing to mental health issues. Focusing on communication and role transitions, it helps clients improve connections with family, partners, and colleagues to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing fosters intrinsic motivation to overcome addictive behaviours or unhealthy patterns. Through collaborative dialogue, clients explore ambivalence and set achievable goals for change, making it ideal for substance use, procrastination, or lifestyle adjustments.

I really felt comfortable talking with Tristan. He is a very genuine, understanding guy, and really helped me to just get some clarity around the jumble of thoughts going around in my head.

Tristan is such a kind, experienced, accepting and transparent psychologist. I have been to many therapists over the years and yet still felt stuck and that I couldnt move forward with my life. However, with Tristan I felt from the very start that he genuinely cared about my wellbeing and simply just wanted to help no matter how challenging things seemed to be. I always feel I can be myself and that there is no need to hide how I feel.

I have been coming to see Tristan over the past few months & I have found him to be kind, compassionate, & understanding. He is also very professional & an active listener who follows the conversation well & responds thoughtfully & in a considerate way. I would recommend Tristan to anyone who feels they could benefit from speaking with a good listener, & put simply, a genuine & decent person.
