25 years providing quality services to people living with disability and their families and carers. Lifestart was established in 1996 by a group of eight families, who wanted more involvement in their children's program, with a small amount of funding from the then NSW Department of Ageing and Disability.
Our first program was run in a single classroom at Turramurra Public School. Over the past year, Lifestart supported over 10,000 children and young people, their families and their carers across greater Sydney and surrounds. Lifestart's programs and services have made a significant difference in the lives of thousands of children and their families.
