Brookside Medical Centre was established in 2016 by two doctors and has immensely grown to ten doctors with a wonderful team of Allied Health including a Psychologist, Physiotherapist and a Podiatrist. Onsite we offer shared care appointments with a midwife and will soon be joined by a dietician. We endeavour to offer appointments to all our patients with their choice of doctor, same day appointments and we also welcome new patients.
We believe that continuity of care is directly associated with better health outcomes and prevention of lifestyle associated illnesses. Our team of doctors have varied areas of interests covering all aspects of medical care needed by families and all age groups. Chronic Disease Management

Chronic diease management is about working with our patients to look after there ongoing conditions and offer the best management and preventative care. The care is tailored individually and you will receive a GP plan detailing specific parameters that need to be monitored to improve management and prevent any complications.
Childhood Immunisations

We offer all childhood immunisations and these are available free of charge to all Medicare card holder. Immunisation is one of the safest and effective ways to prevent illness. Babies have little natural protection against illness and are more likely to catch a disease if not immunised. Having your child immunised helps to stop the spread of infection and protect other children.
Hormone Coil

Dr Romi Ahluwalia at Brookside Medical Centre offers Hormone Coil & Hormone Implant/Rod insertion and removals. Book an appointment to discuss further and see if this is a suitable option for you. Dr Romi Ahluwalia will discuss all aspects of Hormone Coil with you prior to the procedure. You will have an opportunity to ask questions if you do have any concerns.

Hormone Implant/Rod is one of the LARC(Long Acting Reversible Contraception). At your first appointment, Dr Romi Ahluwalia will go through other options if you require. Make an appointment with Dr Romi Ahluwalia to discuss it further. Hormone Implant/Rod is inserted by a doctor or a nurse who has have received training and have been accredited to carry out the procedure.
Mental Health

All our doctors are experienced in recognising early signs of mental illness to ensure early treatment. Common mental illnesses include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, drug and alcohol addiction, schizophreia, and bipolar dsorder. We offer help and treatment in the form of counselling, mindfullness, prescribed medications and referral to our onsite psychologist or another one of your choice.

Worst doctors I've ever been to, 4 times I've come now and each time I've come for my appointment I've been sat waiting for 30+ minutes past scheduled time. Doctors have no idea how to do time management or care about there patients as we do have other things we need to do. Horrible receptionists who just state there's nothing they can do and are very rude when approached about a late appointment. Would highly discourage people from attending this practice EVER!

Dr Yukio Akune has been so incredibly knowledgeable and has properly examined my children every time we are there, finally a Dr that generally cares and has concern for his patients.
Moved into the area over a year ago and ive only just found this medical centre about 4 months ago, so incredibly thankful.

Reception was bit on rude side; May that’s one area to improve in future for the Clinic.
I did get general advise from the experienced doctor, however on a personal note I thought I did not get the the required medicine , especially considering the poor condition.
I went to another clinic down the road and got prescribed Antibiotics.
PS: I have also edited the review as Clinic called me regarding feedback. It will be good to see the things improving..

Second time going but the wait is just soooo long every time. Really frustrating as getting a day off and have to plan my life. Had to cancel for another appointment and had to pay. Cause waited almost an hour. PLEASE....Plan the time you book patients in. Maybe making the window of time a little bigger?

Dr green is probably the best doctors I've ever had. He's calm and understanding and actually asks smart question about the problem at hand. Everytime he is unavailable the doctors that have taken his place have all been very nice and asked lots of questions to understand. I even received information for medication incase I didn't want to take it. The front staff are fast, efficient and polite. Completely different experience from Wanneroo gp plus these guys also bulk bill so why would you not pick brookside. If anything ask for Dr green helped me gain weight, sleep properly and even helped with

Dr Green is just amazing!! He spent ample time in listening to my problems, didn't rush even once (even though I was the last patient and all the other doctors had left) and then offered his diagnosis so nicely that it kicked all the worries out of my mind...Finally a doctor who genuinely wants to serve people! I have really bad experience with reception staff i never recommend to go there i asked questions about my consultation with doctor that lady said rubbish I don’t think so this is the way to talk to patients. Customer paying money for there treatment it’s not free how she behave. Doctor was very nice but their reception staff don’t know how to talk.
