The Gwelup Medical Centre is a family medical practice located in one of the inner suburbs of Perth. We have a staff of expert general practitioners assisted by highly trained practice nurses, physiotherapist and general practice staff. The practice is doctor owned and operated and as a result is not subject to influence from outside corporate interests.

We are proud of what we have achieved, however have always understood that what has been achieved has come about as a result of the solid working partnership with our patients. The underlying philosophy for our practice has always been an uncompromising commitment to the highest ethical and clinical standards in general practice.

I have been going to this practice since its conception. I can say, without a doubt, that Dr Hilary Dickson is an absolutely wonderful doctor. She makes it seem like she has all the time in the world for me (although I know she’s one very busy lady). So thoughtful, so thorough, so sweet.
The receptionists are very polite and helpful now. Which hasn’t always been the case unfortunately. I have to single out Janine. She is so understanding and caring. She’s always on the ball and she knows her stuff 😉
I only see Dr Dickson so I can’t really comment on the other docs, but the practice always makes me feel welcomed and heard. I would highly recommend.

I have been seeing Chris for the last 8 years for a range of issues but primarily for a cervical spinal issue and he has assisted me greatly. He is a very knowledgeable and experienced physiotherapist. Chris is also very friendly and approachable and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new physiotherapist or someone looking to change physio's.

Verr Happy with Gwelup Medical Centre Doctors and Staff. Frint reception staff are friendly, informative and very profesional. Dr Deanne is amazing. She gets your full medical information from you at your first consultation. She listens and takes notes she is very attentive and approachable. I felt comfortable sharing my medical history with her. I have to say that the older lady in reception is very rude and condescending. She is not clear on what she wants you to do and at one point I wasn't even sure if she was talking to me! Apparently she was!! The doctors are wonderful so it's worth going there for them.

Doctors and nursing staff are FANTASTIC, especially Dr Lucy Fitton, she’s a great doctor. However the reception staff there are appalling. Terrible phone manor, very unwelcoming in the clinic itself and just plain rude. Very unprofessional and is a shame as the rest of the staff are amazing.

I’m a Long term patient . ALL of The doctors nurse and pathologist are amazing .I’m in agreement , that the receptions can be quite unfriendly , curt and on occasions rude , it’s just a shame that this hadn’t been addressed before now , as it definitely lets down this amazing surgery .

With the exception of a lovely lady called Sarah , I find these receptionists rude , condescending and full of their own self importance. Once my GP leaves this centre (the only reason I go there ) I’ll be happy to never have to speak with the staff here again .

Not prepared to help with out a cost.
do no expect bulk bill or any help from the doctors unless you are prepared to pay for it.
i am a returning client and the woman doctor referred me to a surgeon then after surgery i asked her to fill out a piece of paper and her reply was um no u need to pay me for my time which means she is not prepared to lift a pen to fill out one sheet of paperwork for her client unless the client payed a $80 fee dianne searles seems like she does not care about clients just the pay check does not ask how did surgery go or anything else just money money money, i may have

Reception staff are absolutely atrocious in customer service, completely and utterly rude! As a new patient, hearing good things about this surgery, I am disgusted in the service from the staff! Rude and obnoxious over the phone and in person, inappropriate comments about race and about health circumstances. Rude in person! Definitely NOT a welcoming, happy surgery by any means! As a doctors surgery where health is the reason we go there, staff should be happy to help and understanding. They should be polite to the customers both in person and over the phone! If i could rate this place any lower

I have been a long time patient at Gwelup Medical Centre. I acknowledge that they are very busy at reception but will try and fit you in wherever possible. Dr Hilary Dickson is great and switched on and on occasion when I have seen Dr Polcynski she has been very helpful and straight down the line. My grandson got stung by a wasp (both of us did) in Lake Gwelup next door and they fitted us in immediately. Great family practice.
