We are an accredited and professional General Practice surgery, offering an extensive range of services across all aspects of personal and family medicine. Fees

We are a private billing practice and only bulk bill for Age Pension Card holders & children under 6 years old. Our fees are higher on the weekend and unfortunately we do not offer bulk billing on the weekend. The common services fees are displayed at reception or can be discussed with our friendly staff.
Home Visits
Report
Home visits may be arranged during opening hours, however, there is a private gap fee $50 above Medicare rebate rate and they must be limited to cover exceptional circumstances only. We do our best to provide this service provided there is a doctor available at the time for home visit. We only do home visits for regular Ocean Village Medical Centre patients.

I liked my doctor but some of the receptionists simply shouldn't be there. They are extremely rude and will even hang up on you before trying to help. There was a mistake with my prescriptions and had to fight for a week until one good receptionist (or manager, not sure) helped me.

I have been seeing Louise Owen for the last 5 years. It honestly makes such a difference when you find a doctor who is committed to finding the best possible options for you as a patient. I feel like I am listened to, respected and cared for. When i have been unable to see Louise the other doctors at the service have been lovely and supportive.

Most doctors we have seen here are very good, particularly Dr Morkell. But unfortunately the reception staff are truly dreadful and have been for years. They are rude, rushed and generally impolite. It is such a shame and there is no excuse for such behaviour when customers/patients are your business. Separation of the skin care component of the business moved many of the reception staff elsewhere, however little improvement came with this. It is obviously an inherently bad culture and attitude within the team possibly coming from the supervisors. It certainly needs improvement!

I have been seeing Dr Gina Messiha for 10 years now and highly recommend her. Dr Gina is extremely knowledgeable, informative and thorough in finding a diagnosis.
