The finest GP clinic in the hills servicing the community since 1978 and has been owned and directed by the current Medical Practitioners since 1984. Mundaring Medical Centre is situated 35 kilometres from the Perth CBD and is the most Easterly urban medical centre from Perth.
It serves a vast area of several thousands of square kilometres, extending to the adjacent Shires of Swan, Toodyay, Northam, Beverly, York and Kalamunda, as well as remote and semi-isolated regions.We have seven private consultation rooms and a fully equipped five-bed treatment room with easy wheelchair access throughout.

We accept EFTPOS, Cheque, Cash - and if you are eligible, your Medicare rebate may be claimed back immediately using the Medicare Online Service available at our EFTPOS terminal. Please add the invoice number of your outstanding account in the description field plus last name so that we can identify who is paying.

Fully modern comprehensive equipment five bed bay treatment area, practice falls within DPA (for higher Medicare rebates, ). Option for additional in-hours.

Under some circumstances and at their discretion our doctors may be able to provide a repeat prescription over the front counter. This will attract a minimum fee of $20. Please note requests require 2-3 working days for preparation of scripts. If you do not wish to pay a fee please ensure you have an appointment with your doctor prior to running out of your medication.

I have been attending this practice for a number of years. I recently attended for an infected open wound following foot surgery. The doctors and nurses were medically professional beyond comparison. They took a swab, prescribed the right antibiotics, and applied clean dressings to the wound. My foot in on the mend, and I am grateful for their kindness, care and expertise. **Update - attending the practice for heart, lower back and kidney-related ailments (don't get old!). Again, the medical care and skill are exemplary.

I went here a few months ago as a new Patient and saw Dr Reilly who was fantastic, i have since seen Dr Rutherford who was also excellent. Great practice, same day appointment availability, big wait room, lovely Nurses and friendly smiling reception staff. -cant ask for much more. Overall a positive experience and my kids are all bulk billed. My wife has also been to the Chidlow Clinic which is 100% bulk billed and she said the Doctor there was very confident and competent. Definitely our new regular practice.

Went there with a very sore throat and dry cough. Female Dr decided it was viral so couldn't treat it. No swabs to check. 8 days later a second Dr gave me antibiotics straight away, sent me for a swab to confirm the need and I felt much better the next day. Not seeing the first one again. Too quick making money.

Went there with my wife a couple of days ago.The appointment was booked by our daughter and she believed the service was bulk billed. When we got there we were told it was at the doctor's discretion to decide that. How ever they ended up bulk billing her. I went there today and they flat out refused to bulk bill and charged me $80.
On the entrance it is written in big bold letters.. BULK BILLING AVAILABLE.

Maybe Dr Illich is a grump. Went to him once for a script repeat and he charged me $60. Fortunately my other doctor reversed it when he came back off holidays. Have been going to MMC for 30 years. Moved down the hill 10 years ago and tried 3 other surgeries. Went back up the hill and very happy to do so. People need to be a little less precious about having to wait. A good doctor is a busy doctor. Through my 12 months cancer and chemo journey Dr Harrison was always available and the girls were excellent. Every single one of them. You wouldn't go into an empty restaurant, why would you want an empty

So heres the thing - the nursing staff here are absolutely fabulous, what they have done to help us has been next level. Dr Ilich though - thats another story. We went there today to get resuls of a scan, which is a grade 3 tear of a ligament and ruined our holidays so we just neeed to know what happens, could she walk, swim, anything. You could tell he absolutely DID not want to be there, wouldnt give us two words of wisdom, encouragment or help or even medical advice. His best effort was "it happened, too bad". Nice. I wouldnt go back to that Doctor if he was the last Doctor on earth. Rude, grumpy

Staff here are extremely rude and unfriendly. When you arrive they ignore you until they have finished there little basic chores and or little chats they are having between themselves(not work related chats either), instead of servicing the customer first then getting on with there job as they should. And yes we are customers and not an inconvenience as the staff here treat customers/patients. I keep reminding myself to complain to the doctor about the terrible staff he has working for him here ruining the good name of the medical centre. But as we are rushed thru, there is no time and I forget

Disgusted by the way I was just treated by Dr. ilich. The absolute most uncaring, unfriendly, beyond rude encounter I have ever had with any doctor. No sign of any compassion. Wouldn’t even let me finish my sentences to inform him what is wrong, brushed me off when I asked about the medication after he completely disregarded two of my symptoms. He has no right being a doctor until he is reminded that patients are human beings. Not cattle with no voice to herd out as quickly as possible. I suggest when booking appointments, everyone avoid him at all costs.

I have been reading some of the comments here about a certain Dr. I have visited 4 different Dr's there and yes, I agree that the one mentioned in other reviews is a little lax on pleasantries etc and that I only see that particular Dr when no one else is available. All the other Dr's there are great, and I don't think Mundaring Medial Centre as a whole deserves the one star rating some have given. SO, here is my five star review for Mundaring Medical Centre as a whole. Happy New Year Mundaring Medical Centre.
