Services
Gastric Sleeve Surgery
Our gastric sleeve procedure removes 80% of the stomach to create a banana-shaped sleeve, restricting food intake while preserving digestive function. This laparoscopic operation offers durable weight loss results, with our patients maintaining twice the national average excess weight loss over six years. Ideal for morbid obesity cases, the surgery addresses comorbidities like diabetes and sleep apnoea through permanent anatomical changes.
Teen Bariatrics Program
Specialised weight-loss solutions for 14-18 year olds through our Adelaide partnership. The program includes comprehensive preoperative assessment, surgical intervention, and lifelong follow-up care. We address adolescent obesity with tailored psychological support and family involvement, adhering to ANZMOSS guidelines while navigating Western Australia's current hospital restrictions for this age group.
Lap Band Management
Comprehensive support for existing lap band patients including fill adjustments, removals, and revisional surgery. Our specialists manage complications from failed bands while optimising band function through regular metabolic reviews. We provide second opinions and conversion options to more effective procedures like gastric sleeve surgery for patients seeking improved long-term outcomes.
Preoperative Assessment
Multidisciplinary assessment day involving GP bariatric assessors, dietitians, and exercise physiologists. The process includes medical history review, comorbidity management, sleep studies, and endoscopic evaluations to ensure surgical readiness. Patients receive personalised preparation plans addressing nutritional status, fitness levels, and psychological readiness for bariatric intervention.
Postoperative Care
Continuum of care spanning 24 months post-surgery with surgeon reviews, dietetic consultations, and fitness monitoring. Our Success Habits program provides four weeks of structured education on nutrition, exercise, and behavioural changes. Regular metabolic reviews at 3, 6, 12, and 18 months ensure sustained weight loss and address any emerging complications through our integrated team approach.

I had my surgery January 2021. I was very skeptical and did a lot of research for two years before I decided to go ahead with the surgery. I must say that Mexico bariatric center definitely met all my expectations and was very clean professional and communicated very well with me. They took care of me from the minute I got there to the minute I left. My surgery was extremely successful. The only thing I would have done different is I would have got the surgery sooner.

My experience with MBC was wonderful. Having the Gastric Sleeve 3 months ago was the best decision I could have made. From the time I was picked up at the airport to the time I was dropped off 3 days later, everything was flawless. Juan at the hotel was extremely helpful with all my questions. He was available for my companion when she had questions or concerns also. The drivers that took me for my pre-op tests and the next day to the hospital were friendly and very helpful with anything that I needed. Karla, Brittney and Leili are fantastic. They answered all my questions and concerns through

I traveled solo to Mexico for my VSG procedure on Oct 11th, 2021. Nervous, worried, and a little scared, all of that was eased by the kind, courteous, and professionalism by each and every person along this journey. The drivers, hotel staff, Karla and other hospital personnel, nurses, and Dr. Montalvo. My overall experience was great! I was a little bummed I didn't get my surg until 7pm but it all worked out fine. Recovery was uneventful and speedy. With the help of Leili, Jenn, and Brittany, I was able to get answers to most of my questions. Everyone has been super supportive! I am 9 weeks post

Good experience got there early so I was able to go on the tour and explore. It was a friendly and professional atmosphere. The drivers are the nicest people so helpful and kind. I didnt have a wall plug in and they brought one back for me. The. Hotel has the most amazing food for your companions and you get to have popsicles, jello and broth. My surgeon was Cabrera he was nice and as of right now I have no complaints other then my surgery time was changed a few times and that was pretty annoying.

The experience was seem less from start to finish. I didnt have to worry about anything the moment I stepped into the car at the airport. I was taken care of 100. The hotel is pretty nice and they have food for you so you dont ever have to worry about food the entire experience. The hospital is Ok and the doctors and nurses are very competent. They made sure I was as comfortable as possible the entire way through and the hospitality is amazing. The hospital, the drivers, the hotel, all extremely hospitable. If you bring a companion they have an amazing continental breakfast for them in the

Unlike some of the reviews on here, this place is very clean and sanitary. The staff is very polite and attentive to your needs. Everything used is new and taken out of sterile packaging. After surgery is going to be rough but as soon as the staff is able to they will get you on medication to assist with pain and nausea. 100 % recommend for anybody thinking about this place!
