Services
Preventative Care
Report
Vaccines prevent life threatening disease. We recommend puppies and kittens receive 3 vaccines, ideally at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age. A 12 month booster is then given (when the dog/ cat is 16 months of age). Dogs can be given some of their vaccinations on a 3 yearly interval. Paralysis ticks are potentially fatal.
Dentistry
Report
Over 70% of all cats and dogs have some form of dental disease - and just because they are eating doesn't mean it doesn't hurt! We offer free dental health checks so we can identify and treat problems before dental disease compromises your pet's wellbeing. Don't let your pet suffer silently. Dental examinations for your pets are part of the routine Annual Health Checks and can be performed whenever you visit the clinic with your pet.
Tick Paralysis
Report
The paralysis tick is a major problem for cats and dogs on the Central Coast. They occur year round but their numbers reach a peak from early spring to late summer when it is warm and wet. Paralysis ticks can lead to respiratory failure and death. The paralysis tick, Ixodes holocyclus, is the cause of tick poisoning.
Pre-Anaesthetic
Report
When you place your pet in our hands you trust us to provide your pet with the best possible medical care. In order to offer you the peace of mind you deserve, we recommend pre-anaesthetic testing prior to placing your pet under anaesthetic. Although performing these tests cannot guarantee the absence of complications it can significantly minimise the risk to your pet and provide you and us with peace of mind.
Pathology
Report
Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform an array of diagnostic tests that help us care for your pet. This ranges from simple laboratory tests to more complex diagnostic tools that help us in treating your pet. Having a state of the art in house pathology machine allows us to accurately assess haematology and biochemistry results for your pet in only 30 minutes.
