Services
Surgery
Report
Our veterinarians perform surgery on a daily basis, including desexing, abdominal surgery, dentals and orthopaedic surgeries. We have two operating theatres and use isoflurane anaesthetic gas to keep your animal anaesthetised. Desexing is recommended for most dogs at five to six months of age and cats are now required to be desexed by 4 months of age by the council.
Orthopaedic Procedures
Report
We are very proud that we offer an extensive range of orthopaedic services performed by Dr Sally Smith. Below are some examples of the more complex surgeries we perform here at Doyalson Animal Hospital. Tibial tuberosity advancement is a surgical procedure designed for the treatment of cranial cruciate ligament (which is known as the ACL ligament in humans) disease in the dog.
Diagnostics
Report
We have in house blood machines able to provide information about your pet's blood cells, blood clotting and organ function. Results can be available within 1 hour, allowing us to quickly gain important information and start treating your pet quickly.
Our pre-anaesthetic blood tests are offered for all patients, however with age, the likelihood of problems and risks of anaesthesia increase and therefore blood tests are strongly recommended at 7 years of age and older. Some problems may not be obvious on physical examination and are able to be detected on blood tests before animals become sick.

Vaccinations
Report
Our pets are an important part of our lives and family, offering unconditional love and affection. In order to give them the best start in life, we need to make sure they are vaccinated against preventable diseases. For the cost of a yearly vaccination you are protecting your pet against potentially fatal diseases such as Canine Parvovirus and Feline Calicivirus.
