Our dining room offers all-day seasonal menus featuring locally sourced ingredients. Guests enjoy refined pub classics in a sophisticated setting with ambient lighting and leather banquettes. The space connects to the beer garden through bi-fold doors, creating versatile dining experiences for casual meals or special celebrations.
Function Spaces
We provide premium event spaces for weddings, birthdays, and corporate functions. The Central Room accommodates 80 guests cocktail-style with private deck access, while the Henry Room hosts 130 guests with DJ booth and terrace. Customisable packages include food, drinks, and AV equipment for seamless event planning.
Private Dining
The Molina Room offers intimate dining for up to 14 guests at a custom American oak table. This warm, contemporary space features Wi-Fi, TV, and wheelchair access. Ideal for celebratory dinners or corporate presentations with dedicated service and ambient lighting creating a refined atmosphere.
Cocktail Service
Our bar offers curated cocktails, premium Australian wines, and craft beers. The spirit selection emphasizes quality gins, with knowledgeable staff available for recommendations. The 24-hour license allows extended enjoyment of our beverage offerings in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Beer Garden

What dining options does Half Moon offer?
We offer all-day dining in our main restaurant, casual bar meals, and private dining experiences. Our menus feature seasonal dishes made from local produce with both indoor and outdoor seating options.
Can I book function spaces at Half Moon?
Yes, we have three function spaces accommodating 14-130 guests. The Central Room, Henry Room, and Molina Room offer customisable packages for weddings, birthdays, and corporate events with dedicated AV equipment and private bars.
What are the booking policies?
Reservations are recommended for dining rooms. Group bookings of 6+ require email contact. We hold tables for 15 minutes, require 48-hour cancellation notice, and charge $50 per person for no-shows or late cancellations.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept major credit cards and contactless payments. Specific payment requirements for function bookings will be confirmed at the time of reservation.
Are there special event surcharges?
A 15% surcharge applies to bookings on public holidays. Function room minimum spends vary by day: $2,500-$4,000 Mon-Thurs and $3,500-$6,000 Fri-Sun depending on the space booked.
What accessibility features are available?
We offer wheelchair access to the Molina Room and function spaces. Our staff are trained to assist guests with mobility requirements, and accessible restrooms are available on-site.

Interesting. Great location
Good service
The problem is the food is very hit and miss. i understand it's covid and hard to get chefs but they should change the menu when it works out at $100 per head.
Swordfish and oysters are horrible.
Tuna tartar was Interesting but not in a good way. The Duck and pork belly mains are great. Highly recommended.
Meatballs are good especially with the toast
Steak is good but a requested medium comes half rare and half medium. Cold beer, good cocktails and good choice of non-alcoholic.
Chips are OK. Garlic bread is "interesting "

Lovely space, great place for a beer. Unfortunately food was really disappointing and expensive for what we received. Main pasta was tiny and tasteless. Beer is good though ;)

Fantastic pub with friendly staff. Order at bar or by QR code at your table. Very good food. Visited with my grandson and we were both made to feel very welcome.

Arrived at 12.00 & sat in the back dining room. Seemed very quiet. However the place was humming by the time we left. The food was bright & fresh. Hamburgers seemed very popular. Started with the large prawns followed with the Caesar Salad the white anchovies made the meal.

Great pub with a beautifully designed indoor/outdoor space. Food and cocktails were delicious and the staff were super friendly. Its right next to Middle Brighton Station so getting there is super easy too.

This place has become our regular.. the staff here are always so accommodating.. to the point of awesome! Received a garlic bread that wasn't the best but they replaced it with a beverage and then brought out a new garlic bread that was terrific! I think the original just wasn't cooked properly bit of an oversight! Highly recommend this joint

A secret garden place for the community around. They have really giant space for customers and truly delicious food. My favorites are grilled skull prawns and the roast chicken. Sour, spicy, and salty in one plate. Enjoy the place and dont forget to order one glass of cocktail.
