TS Burstow Funerals was founded in 1900 by TS Burstow, a former Mayor of Toowoomba, and has remained in his family's hands ever since. Now run jointly by our founder's great-grandsons, Trevor and Donald Burstow, who are proudly mentoring the fifth generation as the company continues to meet the needs of the community with the same commitment to understanding and sensitivity on which the company was founded.

As a family who lost our 15 year old Son suddenly in a farm accident the thought of visiting a funeral home was just unbearable on top of the trauma we were already enduring. It wasn’t our first encounter with death or a funeral home but Burstow’s genuine love, care, compassion and helpful tips for dealing with the pain, shock and trauma went far and beyond. We will be forever thankful to have had Shayne from Burstow’s guide us through that week.

Following the sudden loss of our father, Burstow’s has been a tremendous support. We were taken care of every step of the way and could not be more grateful. Not only were Burstow’s available at all times for any questions and queries, but the hard time was dealt with delicately. The outpouring of love ,devotion and respect expressed about the loved one during this public display is sometimes in tragic contrast. To the appalling neglect, coercion , abuse and aggressive denial of the most basic human rights , endured in painful silence and in degrading isolation by the "loved one" in private during their living days.

Burstows took lovely care of my Father's (Arne Nilsson's) funeral a few years ago and now, today, with Covid considerations affecting my movement, I could not attend. Burstows supported my sisters there brilliantly and enabled my wife and I to attend via video link. I was grateful to be able to speak at my mother's funeral and the help and quality was outstanding despite us living a 1000 kilometres out of Darwin in a remote location.

Thank you for enabling me to share in Sue Tucker's celebration of her life. The live streaming was done so well. I loved how the camera moved around and could zoom in on various aspects of the service, as opposed to being focused from one view point only. The camera footage was clear and the sound was clear, and very professionally done. Sitting in South Africa, I felt as though I was sitting right there with Sue's family. Thank you.

I cannot thank the staff at Burstows Funerals enough for their professionalism, caring and supportive attitude and attention to detail given to our family when our dear Dad passed away recently. They go above and beyond to support the family at such a sad and traumatic time. Being able to live-stream was very important as we have closer friends and family unable to attend the funeral, esp family in New Zealand. Thank you Benjamin, and staff.

Today some family members and I watched a funeral service on line. Even though our viewing of the live streaming frequently froze and missed sections we thought we would try again later. The later viewing seemed faultless. I especially complement the excellent audio and visual quality and editing expertise which allowed us to feel that we shared in this celebration of the life of a truly lovely lady.

I recently attended a service at Burstows and was extremely impressed with how everything was managed.
I really liked what I saw of the set up - the little playground for children is a great idea.
Excellent that you were able to live stream the service, so that family and friends in England could watch too.
I have only the highest praise for the staff I encountered. So attentive to the family such a gentle manner and it really seemed that nothing was too much trouble.

I would like to that Burstows Towoomba and Dalby from the bottom of my heart for their help and understanding. They done everything that they could to insure that my dads ashes were where we needed them to be and without any charge. At any time of the year its hard to deal with but being its around Christmas today was even harder. i truly cant thank them enough. I would recommend these people 100% to anyone. I would like to say on behalf of the freeman family u guys outdone urself yet again with a nice service for our late Clare Freeman. It went very smooth and was made so easy and less painful in alittle way at Dalby today. The staff made sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed on such a hot day but also were always smiling which on sad day was nice to see. Thank u again and will definitely be recommending u guys
