The Warby St Veterinary Hospital is a rural mixed practice that employs 5 veterinarians. There are also 9 multi skilled veterinary nurses and a Practice Manager who keep things running smoothly from the front desk and behind the scenes. From within these staff and through a few extras we also a pet groomer, an accounts manager and two Puppy Preschool teachers.
We provide care and services for both small and large animal species and are especially involved in the equine industry that is prevalent in the Wangaratta region. We have grown over the years from a small practice to now be a fairly large practice for a rural city. This has allowed us to expand our facilities over time and also to attain new technologies to better serve our patients.

Staff
Report
Our veterinarians have graduated from universities around Australia and even the United Kingdom with some having also attained other degrees and further qualifications. This gives them a varied set of experiences, training and knowledge that is frequently shared. We also have vets of varied ages which means that there is a good mix of hard earned knowledge from experience as well as new ideas from the younger ones.

All our nurses have attained or are in the midst of the coursework to attain their certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. This is the highest qualification available to veterinary nurses in Australia. At Warby Street Veterinary Hospital we are trying our best to keep everyone safe while continuing to care for your pets and livestock. We have temporarily made a few changes to how we operate: Please phone ahead (5721 7177) BEFORE coming to the clinic for any reason. This includes before. This is one of the times of year that we often see cases of colic in horses.

Outside business hours there is always a vet on call. When you telephone (03) 5721 7177 there will be a recorded message directing you to telephone the appropriate vet's mobile phone. It is a good idea to have a pen ready to copy down the number. They will then arrange to see your animal as soon as they can.

From the initial walking in the door and being greeted by the receptionist we were made to feel very welcome. Once we were allocated a vet (Zoe) we could tell that she had our dog's best interest and at the same time she ensured we understood all the information she gave us. Well done Warby Street Vets and Zoe!
