Domestic violence offences are defined in the Crimes (Personal and Domestic Violence) Act 2007 as a personal violence offence committed by a person against another person with whom they have or had a domestic relationship. Domestic violence related offences carry the same maximum penalties as non-domestic violence related offences, however there are two main distinctions.

The offence of manslaughter is committed where one person causes the death of another person, in particular circumstances. If you have been suspended by the RTA or Police for speeding, or are a Provisional Licence holder who has incurred excessive demerit points, you may be. The offence of driving in a manner or speed dangerous is a criminal offence and carries a maximum penalty of imprisonment. There is also an automatic disqualification.

I had some issues that required assistance in 2016, thankfully due to the advice provided by Justin Wong at the time the matter did not proceed. I can honestly say this was a rather difficult time in my life and one that I would rather forget however due to the advice provided the seriousness never escalated and I was able to keep the issue to a minimum. I would happily recommend Justin and his team to anyone that may require assistance.

Recently I thought I might have been in trouble with the Police and contacted Streeton Lawyers and one other firm. With Streeton I was impressed from first contact with the receptionist and subsequently I spoke with Adam Faro. I really appreciated Adam's calm professionalism, the advice he gave me and the empathy he showed regarding my fears and emotions about my situation. I didn't end up requiring legal representation but I will definitely use this firm in the future if ever I need legal help.
