Classical Ballet

Our Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) certified program develops technical excellence in classical ballet. Students train in progressive grades from Pre-Primary to Advanced levels with two weekly classes. The curriculum builds discipline, posture, and artistic expression through traditional ballet techniques. Elite dancers can join our Classical Academy for Vaganova method training and pre-professional development.

Jazz Dance

Contemporary jazz classes combine technical training with commercial performance styles. Students learn choreography from current music trends while developing flexibility, turns, and leaps. Classes incorporate both stage jazz and street-style movements with age-appropriate music selection for different skill levels.

Preschool Dance

Specialised programs for ages 2-5 introduce foundational dance skills through play-based learning. Ready Set Dance, Petite Ballet, and Hip Hop classes develop coordination, musicality, and social skills in a nurturing environment. Parents can observe lessons through studio viewing windows.

Acrobatics

Tamara Davidson

Principal

With over 25 years in dance education, Tamara leads our faculty with expertise in curriculum development and student mentorship. She established ADV's child-safe framework and maintains industry connections for student opportunities.

Hayley Arundel

Classical Academy Director

A former English National Ballet performer, Hayley brings international experience to our elite ballet program. She holds dual qualifications in classical ballet pedagogy and Pilates instruction, specialising in dancer wellness.

Iona Marques

Ballet Instructor

Brazilian-born Iona trained with Dutch National Ballet and West Australian Ballet. She teaches classical technique with emphasis on artistry, drawing from her global performance background in major classical productions.

Jasmin Johnson

Vaganova Program Director

Jasmin brings extensive commercial dance experience from Los Angeles to our Vaganova program. She specialises in youth competition coaching and has prepared students for international competitions like Youth America Grand Prix.

Nikki O'Shea

Senior Ballet Teacher

With a Masters in dance education, Nikki combines academic expertise with practical teaching. She develops inclusive programs for diverse learners, including adaptive ballet classes for students with disabilities.

Best dance school in the area if you're looking for a range of genres! This school will nurture your child's strengths regardless of whether it's ballet, acrobatics/flex, singing, tap, anything... this school is for everyone and a great option for young kids too who are still exploring their interests! My daughter is now one of the most senior students and she has tried a couple of dance schools so we know what to look for. My daughter joined ADV 2 years ago when she was 3 years old. She loves dancing and performing and under the training and guidance of Tamara and her ADV teachers, her skills have blossomed. ADV are equipped to nurture talent and they have given her the opportunity to develop her passion through solo coaching and team competition/extension training. The teachers are highly experienced, engaging and caring. They foster a professional, fun, positive learning environment for recreational dancers as well as competition/performance dancers.

We didnt have the best time once Tamara started teaching my daughters class. She just didnt have the skills to teach a crying child and basically told us to watch outside behind the glass window. We are also still currently waiting for a refund after incessantly chasing her up for it.
