Transform Your Fitness with Pole & Aerial Classes
Founded in 2010 by Jasmine Zapka, The Pole Room has evolved from a two-pole garage operation into Melbourne's premier pole and aerial fitness studio network. Our mission is to create a body-positive environment where individuals of all ages, genders, and fitness levels can transform their physical capabilities while building confidence through structured, skills-based programs. With five strategically located studios across Melbourne, we offer progressive 8-week courses in pole dance, lyra, and aerial silks, complemented by casual classes focused on flexibility, strength, and dance. Our team of certified instructors brings extensive industry experience, having trained hundreds of students through our six-level progression system.

We prioritise safety and inclusivity, maintaining rigorous equipment standards while fostering a non-judgmental community that celebrates personal growth. The studio's achievements include launching the SHINE competition and Glow showcase, demonstrating our commitment to providing performance opportunities that reinforce student progress. Our 2020 expansion into virtual classes and online retail demonstrates our adaptability to evolving client needs while maintaining our core values of empowerment through movement.

Pole Dance Classes
Our pole dance program develops strength, flexibility, and confidence through structured levels. Students learn spins, climbs, and choreography while building core strength. Classes cater to all abilities from complete beginners to advanced performers. The 8-week courses ensure progressive skill development in a supportive environment.
Aerial Hoop Training
Lyra (aerial hoop) classes focus on building upper body strength and control. Students perform acrobatic moves suspended 4 meters high, progressing through skill-based levels. The program develops shoulder stability and body awareness, with classes available for all experience levels at selected Melbourne locations.
Aerial Silks Programs
Our aerial silks classes teach fabric climbing, wrapping techniques, and dynamic moves. Students build grip strength and body coordination while creating flowing aerial sequences. The program is available at three Melbourne locations with equipment heights up to 6 meters for advanced skills development.
Hens Party Packages
Private pole dance parties for bridal groups include beginner lessons, choreography sessions, and professional performances. Packages range from 60-120 minutes with options for refreshments and male entertainer add-ons. Available at all Melbourne studio locations with group discounts.
Virtual Fitness Sessions
Live-streamed and pre-recorded pole and aerial classes available 24/7. The virtual platform offers the same structured curriculum as in-studio sessions with community interaction features. Access includes technical support and progress tracking tools for home practitioners.
Questions
What should I wear to my first pole class?
Wear short shorts for grip and a singlet top. Avoid moisturiser and remove jewellery. Sports bras are recommended as you progress to expose skin for better pole contact.
Are there age restrictions for classes?
Pole classes require students to be 16+, with parental consent under 18. Aerial programs accept younger students with guardian supervision during classes at selected locations.
Can I attend classes at multiple studio locations?
CBD, Mitcham and Kilsyth memberships allow cross-studio access. Highett and Narre Warren memberships are location-specific due to operational differences between company-owned and franchised studios.
What equipment should I bring?
Bring water, a hand towel, and knee pads. Grip enhancers are available for purchase. Heels are optional for specific dance classes but not required for beginners.
Do you offer trial classes for new students?
The 28-day Intro Program provides first-time students with multiple classes across different disciplines to experience our full range of offerings at a discounted rate.
Can I bring a friend to class?
Yes, with prior booking. Friends must register through our system to ensure space availability and adherence to class capacity limits for safety reasons.

Would rate 0 stars if possible - worst customer service team and management i have ever encountered. Dont know how to professionally handle customer issues and acted very immature.
