Rio Dance Studio was established in 1981 by Fabian Gheri and Maureen DeLacy (hostess of the popular ABC TV show That's Dancin') making us one of the longest running dance studios' in Australia. Since 2000 the studio has been under the guidance of Mario Raiti who brings over 30 years of industry experience and is dedicated to making dance accessible to beginners.

My name is Mario Raiti and as both owner and dance teacher I'm passionate about making dance accessible to everyone regardless of age, experience or ability. From humble beginnings Rio has grown to become the market leader of social ballroom classes in Australia. Having worked closely with Maureen and Fabian for 10 years, I bought into the business in 2000.

At Rio Dance Studio we recognise that each Wedding is unique, so offering you a Free Trial Lesson not only gives you the opportunity to try us out but also allows us to get to know you and discuss your personal needs. Whether it's a simple wedding dance or an elaborate routine, we are here to listen and help you format your first step onto the dance floor as husband and wife.
Kids and Teen

Teachers at Rio Dance Studio have met all government requirements and hold a current Working with Children Check Card issued by the Department of Justice & Regulation, Victoria. Introducing your children to dance, especially at a young age, has a variety of health, physical and mental benefits. Dancing is an aerobic form of exercise.
Adult Group
Report
Rio Dance Studio offers a variety of Group Classes from Beginner Level to Advanced. You don't need a partner to join our classes. We rotate people around so everyone has a chance to partner and learn. If you've joined with your own partner you may choose to rotate of stay with your partner. Group classes are a great way to meet new people and make new dancing friends.
Individual
Report
Learning on your own? Don't worry you don't need a partner to learn to dance. Rio Dance Studio offers Individual Classes. These are Private Lessons and are booked by appointment. Your teacher will hop in and dance with you directly. Learning individually with private tuition means we can work at your personal rate of learning, be it fast or slow.
