Our Bar & Grill delivers gourmet pizzas and premium steaks prepared from in-house butchery. Guests select meat cuts for custom preparation by experienced chefs. The menu combines traditional pub fare with contemporary culinary techniques, offering both casual meals and special occasion dining in a heritage setting.
Alala's Bar
This craft cocktail bar celebrates seasonal ingredients and feminine heritage. Featuring comfortable seating and artisanal mixology, it offers a curated spirits list with creative combinations. The bar overlooks our historic oak tree terrace, providing a sophisticated atmosphere for after-work drinks or weekend socialising.
Bottle Shop
Our 1950s-style bottle shop stocks local and international wines, plus craft beers including monthly rotating specials. Customers can purchase growlers directly from kegs for select brews. The retail space combines retro aesthetics with modern convenience, offering both familiar favourites and unique varietals for discerning palates.
Functions
Five versatile event spaces accommodate 16-130 guests with tailored packages. The Terrace and Garden Pavilion offer outdoor options while the Licensee's Flat provides intimate settings. Our team coordinates logistics for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations, with custom menus and beverage selections available.
Sports Bar
Taffy's Sports Bar shows major sporting events on multiple screens with flexible opening hours. The casual atmosphere includes bar seating and communal tables, perfect for watching NFL finals and racing events. Complemented by our full beverage menu and takeaway options for game-day convenience.

What are your opening hours?
Our bar operates daily from 10am to late. Bistro service runs noon-9pm Sunday-Thursday and noon-11pm Friday-Saturday, with extended hours for special events.
Do you have outdoor seating?
Yes, our terrace overlooks an 80-year-old oak tree and provides weatherproof outdoor dining and drinking space available daily from 11:30am.
Can I book function space?
We offer five distinct function spaces accommodating 16-130 guests. Contact our functions manager Karina for custom packages and availability inquiries.
Is parking available?
We don't have on-site parking. Metered street parking is available nearby, with a cab rank directly outside on Ben Boyd Road. Public transport options include buses to Neutral Bay Junction.
Do you sell takeaway alcohol?
Our bottle shop offers craft beer and wine sales daily. Choose from rotating beer specials available in growlers, plus an extensive selection of local and international wines for takeaway purchase.

The accommodation here is very well appointed and offers great value. Good meals well prepared in the Bistro. Cold beer. Ticks all the boxes

Just dont bother. Pick Picton or Camden if you want a night out. Manager is extremely rude and food, well it reminds me of airplane food. Rubbish.

Went here for lunch a couple weeks ago on the spyders,only 20ks from home,found the oaks hotel friendly and has a good menu,went on Monday so no lunch special but special on the rest of the week.Will be visiting there again.

Very nice country pub with outdoor area, the food is OK, but the real downside of this pub is that they took out their fireplace. I think its essential for any country pub to have a fireplace. The bistro, eating area is just one big square room. There really is no feel in there

Have been a local at the oaks for over 5 years
Ordered take away the chicken schnitzel burger was very average the chips with bacon and cheese was not good at all. Since the old chef Sharna has left the pubs food has dropped its quality
The current owners have done extensive renovations but failed to understand its a country pub and have failed since the ownership the food is terrible over priced and under rated
The oaks is not Paddington or the inner west they need to realise this and deliver on good valued country pub meals
Maybe they should look at the vacy pub outside of Maitland for a

Food was great. Went Wednesday night which is schnitty night. 5 different types to choose from. Great atmosphere. Only down was the smell of stale cigarettes that kept us out of the main bar and occasionally wafted into the eating area. Still worth stopping in for a meal!
