Brighton Family & Women's Clinic is a general medical practice based in the Melbourne suburb of Brighton. Our team of 15 GPs offer specialised care across all aspects of healthcare including men's, women's, family and children's health. This practice was started by Dr Kathryn De Garis in her home in 1988 and rapidly grew to become the large and very professional practice that we see today.

Generally new patients are very welcome at our clinic but sometimes in times of peak demand this may not be immediately possible. Our friendly receptionists will always do their best to arrange a suitable time for you in the near future. When you attend our clinic as a new patient we usually make a 30 minute appointment for you, as the doctor needs the extra time to get to know you and your medical and family history.

Our team of very experienced and highly qualified Doctors offers you the highest standard of general medical care at our lovely Brighton clinic. Each of our 15 Doctors have their own areas of special expertise and interest. Between them they cover all of your health care needs. Dr. Jane Isaac holds a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a certificate in skin cancer medicine.

Brighton Family & Women's Clinic provides many different options for your antenatal and obstetric care. It is a very special time in a woman's life and we believe it is important that you have enough information to make the right decision for you and your family.

At Brighton Family & Women's Clinic we have 6 GP's that are accredited with the Royal Women's and Sandringham Maternity hospital's, to provide shared antenatal care to our pregnant ladies.Antenatal care given by Specialist Obstetricians and GP's in the clinic attached to the hospital. You do not have a choice in who delivers your baby.

A GP Management Plan involves you, your GP and another health care provider, who, with your consent and assistance, form a written plan of management outlining your care. Your medical, physical, psychological and social needs are all considered during the development of the plan.

This would be most beneficial for patients with long-term medical conditions that last longer than 6 months, such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease, arthritis, palliative care, etc.Once the Management Plan is developed, you will then make an appointment with your doctor to discuss the findings and recommendations.
