Dr Suresh Kesavan earned his Medical degree from India in 1994 and worked as a General Practitioner for a decade in several parts of rural India. In 2004, he worked for the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK for over a year. He earned his Fellowship from Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has worked in Queensland for over a decade, including several years in rural and remote parts of Queensland.
His varied experience affords him the ability to see many diverse populations and medical situations. Dr Kesavan is also a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) providing medical fitness medicals for pilots. Dr Kesavan has been practising in Cairns for more than four years.

Appointments

We are a bulk billing medical centre who are passionate health care in the community. Please go to reception prior to seating. Our reception staff will promptly notify your Doctor that you have arrived. In order to keep our files accurate and up to date, our reception staff will request your medicare, DVA and pension card.

It is in accord with the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000, that all information collected at our practice is to be treated with confidentiality. Our practice acknowledge patients may request access to their medical records.

Dr Suresh Kesavan made me feel very judged and uncomfortable. This was my third and last visit. Each visit was very much the same, I felt like I wasn’t listened to and Dr Kesavan would jump to a conclusion very quickly without listening. He was very short and rude. I explained I needed a referral for an ultrasound and he was annoyed that I had left my usual medical location (24 hour medical centre) although I explained the wait times were too long and I was hoping to find a more consistent doctor. Very unhappy

Quite friendly staff. I’ve only had phone conversations. I don’t recommend them for they dismiss Telehealth for children who haven’t been seen by a dr previously as they need them to have come into the clinic. They would apparently provide a Telehealth if you pay full adult price( dispute them claiming to be a bulk billing centre) my baby was just a couple weeks old. How could they have seen a dr?

Hello i am an nemic Patient ,i suffer from very low Iron ,I am in danger of cardiotrophy !
I have been extremely neglected and mistreated by this Place!

I am extremely disappointed and let down! This place really took their time with me i was new to this place and transferred my medical history it took almost 2 month to get an old blood result from QML / mind you my iron was on 0.2 !! So I'm kinda in a rush ! I don't have 2 month !
Next ,they send me upstairs to their pathology where the doctor stabbed me in a wrong place ,leaving me bruised and in

I would rate this place 1 Star if it wasn’t for the receptionists and the nurses. They were great. The doctor on the other hand didn’t listen to me and prescribed me an antibiotic for a VIRAL infection. And when I asked for a prescription that I have had for 5 Years (all medical documents presented to show history) he asked me to have the previous doctor email him the EXACT SAME INFORMATION I already had in my folder. So I spent $60 on a consultation that not only gave me the completely wrong treatment plan for my cough but ALSO refused to give me the medication I have needed for years. So

Officially waited over an hour an a half today for an appointment. I came in for a 2:15pm appointment at 2:10pm, only to have to leave at 2:50pm otherwise I would have been late back at work (was on my lunch break). I then returned at 6:30pm for a 6:40pm appointment and was not seen until 7:30pm. At least advice patients upon arrival if there is a delay so they can schedule around it. I just wanted a print off of a repeat prescription and I shouldn’t have to wait this long for a simple 1 minute task!
