This Prospective Marriage Visa a temporary visa is for people who are outside Australia and are engaged to be married to an Australian permanent resident, citizen or Eligible New Zealand Citizen. The visa is valid for 9 months during which time the applicant is expected to travel to Australia and marry their sponsor.
Partner Visas

Partner visas allow the married spouses or de facto partners of Australian citizens, permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens to travel to Australia or remain in Australia with their partner. Although only one application is made, an application for a partner visa is an application for both a temporary and a permanent visa.
