The Palace could be an awesome pub - great location and a nice exterior. However the service, amenities and quality of food and interior decor are stuck in a time warp from the late 90s. In dire need of a serious capital injection and renovation and has been left behind by other pubs now. My mate rang up to book a table last weekend and he to tell one of the staff how to book a table because he didnt know how

Run down, needs some serious work. Its a shame due to beautiful heritage building and ideal location being close to train. Updated decor would help here. Good beers on tap and CC on tap is a nice touch.

Ordered the rare porterhouse with garlic butter, got the well done porterhouse with gravy. Apparently they ran out of garlic butter a few days ago. At least the beer was cold. Won't be going back

This is the first time Ive been to this pub. When I was there the place was packed and the service spot on, as it was friendly and attentive. I ordered a Melbourne Bitter, which is a beer that I dont generally order. But I was pleasantly surprised as the beer was cold and tasty. My partner ordered a Gin and Soda which was also pretty good too. There are so many specials on here each day which was good to see. There was a band setup ready to go, but as this was a pre dinner drink I couldnt stay to hear the band. But Id be happy to go back.
