It was my first high tea experience and it was truly amazing. The waiters are so courteous and they made me feel like royalty! I can assure you that you wouldnt be able to finish all the food, even though they are bite sized. We got a special free cake for my husbands birthday

$1000 for two nights of okay accommodation. There are always compromises with any building this old so none of my review will be about that. The bathrooms were clearly updated in the 80s and never since. Im 66 and and wide, but Im not even close to the widest person around and I couldnt fit in the shower (which was in a bath) and the services were so old they were not nice (toilet seat was yuck and taps grimy)
One of our towels had a brown stain on it that looked revolting, it wasnt a small stain so would have been very noticeable to cleaning staff. Our room was turned down

My friends and l had a high tea to celebrate my upcoming birthday. The staff were all lovely making sure everything was perfect. The dietary requirements of my friend were addressed and her choice of food was amazing. Thank you for making the day something to remember even going as far as giving me a little cake with happy birthday written in chocolate on the plate. Truly a lovely place to spend a couple of hours with friends and family

We booked a Victorian suite and another king sized room for 6 nights. The Victorian suite was tired with smelling carpets, furniture with paint on (that tainted our clothes), no smart TV to connect to Netflix or Fox sports, we are watching the cricket test and the TV quality reminded me of 1980s. It seems that the hotel owners have not spend anything on maintaining the property. Its a beautiful structure that should be protected by the heritage society but its been left out to rot. Disappointing.

A true treasure of Melbourne city. The grand Victorian hotel is beautiful and the service in here is excellent. The bellhops and front desk staff are all exceedingly polite and courteous and very attentive to the needs of their customers. The room service is top notch, and you will always return to rooms with crisp, clean sheets, and a sparkling bathroom. A beautiful choice for a holiday on special occasions or getaways! I definitely recommend the high tea and breakfast packages, youll be back for more because there isnt enough to go through in a week!

A very nice afternoon tea in a good location. There was plenty of sweet and savoury items to eat. Despite a small issue at the start without a mix up on our dietary requirements the manager resolved this and we experienced excellent service there after.

Grand Old Dame Proves a Fabulous City Escape! What a thoughtful and rewarding gift certificate for a night at The Windsor Hotel proved to be. From reservation, through check-in and stay, to our departure, we were treated with such welcoming old-world charm it made us envy the chap who used to live in its tower. Indeed, my gorgeous partner decided that, when he wins lotto, hes renting a room with a view there for the year so he can move in and stay as he pleases!
