Medicine
Report
Rose Bay Vet Hospital sees a variety of medical cases ranging from skin disease to more complex cases involving the liver, spleen and various other organs. By obtaining a history from the owners, performing a thorough physical examination and often various tests we are able to get to the bottom of most cases and provide an appropriate treatment regime.
Dentistry
Report
Owners are frequently concerned about their animal's bad breath (a common sign of dental disease). However, poor oral hygiene can lead and predispose animals to pathology in the mouth and also increases the risk of various infections including those affecting the heart! Staff at the hospital will be able to provide you with advice on how to keep your pets teeth clean.
Fleas & Ticks
Report
Due to the warm climate in Australia fleas reproduce all year round. Good flea control involves combining multiple strategies to attack the flea life cycle at different stages. Tick season starts in spring and runs until June. The paralysis tick is very dangerous; it can induce a life threatening progressive paralysis in affected pets.
Worming
Report
A variety of worming products are available for your convenience, these include tablets to be given orally and topical spot-on treatment applied to the back of the neck, which also help, prevent fleas. Please phone the Rose Bay Hospital and speak to one of the nursing or vet staff to determine an appropriate worming protocol.
