Strata Building Management Agreements

Our strata lawyers have significant experience in developing strata and building management agreements in line with the new strata laws. The new complex rules introduced in 2016 include major changes to the way in which strata managers are appointed and their length of term.
Following the appointment of the selected managing agent at the first annual general meeting (AGM), strata management agreements will be limited to a term of 12 months and up to 3 years thereafter.When a strata manager is appointed by a developer before the first AGM, then that appointment ends at that meeting meaning that at the first AGM, a new agreement will need to be approved.
