Il Forno means 'the oven' in Italian and is symbolic of what this family restaurant is aiming to achieve - to be a melting pot of all things Australian and Italian. Owners Nazzareno Cugliari and his wife Kristina are proud of their Italian heritage, with both sets of parents migrating from Sicily and Calabria in the early 50s and 60s.

Terms and conditions: Our Friday, Saturday, special events and early seatings (5pm-6pm) are based on a 2 hour dining experience, after the 2 hour period we will require the table back. For all 6:30pm bookings we will require the table back for 8pm. Thank you Il Forno Staff. For same day bookings please call the restaurant for availability.

It's a Wednesday night in the quiet bayside 'burbs, but this popular little Italian local is bustling. Almost every table is full and the happy hum of dinner conversations fills the air when we arrive. Il Forno means "oven" in Italian and the mouth-watering doughy aroma of pizza draws us into the restaurant as soon as we open the door.
