At MPPP we are passionate about what we do. It is our mission to make sure nobody with pain or pelvic floor dysfunction is suffering in silence and can access the help they need. Our hand selected team has a collective and extensive background working in private practice combined with experience in large acute hospitals allowing us to stand out in our field as being able to provide comprehensive care across the full spectrum of pelvic floor recovery.

We are extremely proud to be able to offer our clients the very highest quality treatment with our pelvic floor physiotherapists having completed post-graduate level studies at the University of Melbourne in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy.This level of education is the most intensive, comprehensive and well recognised formal qualification in Victoria if not Australia.

Eligible patients are those deemed to have a chronic medical condition. Prolapse, Incontinence and Pelvic Pain are generally considered chronic conditions (if you have had symptoms for at least 6 months). NB: Bulk billing is not available and a gap fee payment is applicable between what the plan covers approx.

A Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist is a qualified physiotherapist registered with AHPRA (The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) who has undertaken additional training to be able to treat conditions of the pelvic floor.

All our Physiotherapists at MPPP who treat conditions of the pelvic floor have completed (or are working towards completion of) a Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy which is a postgraduate qualification from the University of Melbourne.This is alongside the extensive training and mentoring that our staff receive and alongside any external professional development courses which all our staff regularly attend.

Melis is a passionate Women's and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with a varied Physiotherapy career across the Community, Aged Care and Private Practice Settings. She has a particular interest in treating disorders of the abdominal wall post pregnancy including both exercise-based and surgical management of Abdominal Diastasis and post-abdominoplasty rehab.

Since then she has been working in private practice treating a broad variety of musculoskeletal conditions both in pregnancy and the postnatal period along with general sports and rehab clients. She is an experienced Clinical Pilates instructor (APPI method) especially with pre and postnatal women and is passionate about helping women stay physically active during and after pregnancy.
Karina Coffey

Karina graduated from La Trobe University in 2007 and has since specialised in Women's Health physiotherapy. She has extensive experience working within the pelvic floor and continence field in the public sector within Australia and the UK, having worked within some of the UK's most prominent maternity and gynaecology units including St Thomas's Hospital, University College Hospital and King's College Hospital in London.
