Dr Steven Thou is a Sydney based Obstetrician and Gynaecologist serving in the St George and Bankstown areas. He has admitting rights to St George Public Hospital, St George Private Hospital, Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and Hurstville Private Hospital. Originally from Malaysia, Dr Thou grew up in Kingsgrove and was educated at Kingsgrove High School.
He undertook his medical degree at the University of New South Wales and graduated with Honours. Dr Thou has been working in the St George area since completing university in 1996.

Pregnancy is a special time for a woman. It's a period of change for the expectant mother and her immediate family. Dr Thou's role is to ensure that the mother's needs are met during the pregnancy, and also during and after delivery. In doing so, Dr Thou understands the value of active communication with his patients.

You'll need a referral to see Dr Thou. The referral allows claims to be made from Medicare and your health fund. Referrals are valid for 12 months from your General Practitioner and 3 months from another specialist. If you have a valid referral from your General Practitioner, then normally part of your consultation fee will be refunded by Medicare.

If you wish to change your appointment time please call Dr Thou's office on (02) 8065 4888. If you have a matter requiring urgent attention, please call the hospital delivery suite in which you have been booked into. Off street parking is available near the consultation office but is limited. Kogarah Council provides parking stations to those people who are visiting the Kogarah CBD.
