Services
About Us
Report
At your service are a team of experienced and qualified vets and nurses who provide your beloved pets with the care that they need. Using the most up-to-date equipment and techniques, we handle everything from routine desexing surgery to orthopaedic surgeries and more. Before any surgery takes place, we always discuss everything with you so that you are fully informed.
Desexing
Report
At Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital, we have years of experience in desexing dogs and cats, with procedures routinely carried out at around five to six months of age. Desexing is recommended for any animal you don't intend to breed from, as this will prevent unwanted litters of puppies and kittens.
Vaccinations
Report
Casey and Cranbourne Veterinary Hospital provides routine animal vaccinations for all types of pets, and it's important that you include these as part of your pet's regular health check. Many of the diseases that affect dogs, cats, rabbits and other pets have no known cure, so vaccinations offer the only protection against them.
Microchipping
Report
Animal microchipping is a legal requirement for all pets in Victoria and must be in place before registering your pet with the local council. Its purpose is to legally identify you as the animals' owner, and it contains a number unique to you that can be read by a scanner. Microchipping also includes an Australia-wide, 24-hour, year-round animal recovery service, so if your pet gets lost or stolen, it can be returned to you if found.
Pre-Operative Instructions
Report
If your pet requires surgery, then there are a number of things to consider before the procedure. Just as people prepare for an operation, so too is it necessary for animals to be prepared to ensure everything goes smoothly and to aid recovery afterwards. We've included some general instructions below about pre-operative care, but if your pet has complex medical or surgical needs, please speak with your vet.
