Our experienced veterinarians, specialists, consultants, nurses, and barn staff ensure the best health outcomes for your horse. Robyn Charman graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1990 having gained her Bachelor of Veterinary Science with honours. Robyn then worked as a mixed practice veterinarian under the guidance of Dr Neville Japp and later Dr Colin Bassett where she developed a special interest in equine medicine and surgery.

We see any horse whether it has been referred to us by another vet or is coming to us as their primary vet. We are happy to assist you with any of your horses health needs, this can be an ongoing, complex issue or a general health check or vaccinations.

We provide first class emergency and routine neonatal care. Our vets are available 24/7 to provide medical and surgical support for, and during, this vulnerable period. Our diagnostic services include ultrasonography, digital radiography, arterial blood gas analysis, blood glucose analysis, pulse oximetry, urinalysis and IgG evaluation along with around the clock monitoring and treatments.

Emergency treatments are aided with advanced imaging such as digital radiography and ultrasonography as well as stall side laboratory work including blood gas analysis.Common after-hours emergencies range from lacerations through to colic and an experienced team is always available for emergency surgery and to provide the necessary intensive aftercare and monitoring throughout the night.

Equine Diagnostic Imaging

Radiography and ultrasound are the most commonly used imaging techniques in horses and our vets have access to a full range of portable digital equipment. All images obtained from these techniques are stored digitally and are available immediately to our veterinarians. Radiography is the most commonly used imaging technique used to evaluate lameness by allowing us to visualise bones and joints.
